HydroSpark+ CO₂ system

The CO₂ behind every sparkling glass.

HydroSpark+ keeps its carbonation supply inside the appliance: a compatible 0.6 L food-grade CO₂ cylinder that is replaced independently of the water filter. Here is what happens between choosing sparkling and lifting the glass.

How HydroSpark+ makes the bubbles.

The gas is only one part of the process. HydroSpark+ prepares the water first, then carbonates and dispenses the selected serving.

  1. 01

    Filter

    Start with the water

HydroSpark+ passes the source water through its four-stage RO cartridge before any carbonation happens.

  2. 02

    Chill

    Bring it down to temperature

The refrigeration system prepares the filtered water for sparkling. The sparkling function remains unavailable until cooling is active.

  3. 03

    Infuse

    Add food-grade CO₂

A pump moves the chilled water into the pressurised carbonation system, where CO₂ from the separate cylinder is infused into it.

  4. 04

    Dispense

    Pour it straight away

HydroSpark+ makes the selected serving and sends it through the sparkling-water outlet into your glass.

What normal sounds like

Sparkling pours a little differently from still water.

The manual notes that the pressurised sparkling outlet can show slight flow fluctuation or mild spraying. Minor vibration or pump noise while the machine prepares sparkling water is also normal.

Sparkling mode needs refrigeration switched on. If the water is not cold enough, the machine may wait rather than dispense.

Cylinder yield

A published maximum, not a promise.

Velta’s manufacturer material estimates up to 100 servings of 330 ml from one 0.6 L cylinder. That is about 33 litres at the published maximum.

The cylinder’s 0.6 L description is its cylinder size, not the litres of sparkling water it dispenses. Confirm current cylinder pricing and exchange availability before purchase.

Replacement

When the fizz runs out.

The cylinder sits in its own covered compartment and is designed to be replaced without changing the water filter.

  1. 1

    Wait for the prompt

The display reports that the gas cylinder is short of gas when the CO₂ is exhausted or no cylinder is detected.

  2. 2

    Switch off first

Turn off the machine before removing the CO₂ compartment cover and taking out the spent cylinder.

  3. 3

    Fit the replacement upright

Hold the compatible cylinder vertically, align it with the connector and rotate clockwise until it is fully secured with no visible gap.

  4. 4

    Close, power on and check

Reinstall the cover, switch the machine on and make a sparkling serving once the water is cold enough.

Fit it securely—never force it.

The manual calls for a fully secured connection with no visible gap. If the cylinder will not seat cleanly or you suspect a gas leak, stop using sparkling mode and contact Velta Singapore.

Practical answers

HydroSpark+ CO₂ FAQ.

The details worth confirming before the machine reaches your counter.

Which CO₂ cylinder does HydroSpark+ use?

HydroSpark+ uses a compatible 0.6 L food-grade CO₂ cylinder. Do not assume that every similarly sized cylinder has the correct connector; confirm compatibility with Velta Singapore before purchase or exchange.

How long does one cylinder last?

The manufacturer estimates up to 100 servings of 330 ml, or about 33 litres. This is a maximum under its stated conditions, not a household guarantee. Stronger fizz, serving size, water temperature and normal use all affect the result.

How will I know the cylinder is empty?

The display can show that the gas cylinder is short of gas. If sparkling water stops, also check that the source tank has water, refrigeration is active, the water is cold enough and the cylinder is seated securely.

Is the CO₂ cylinder included with HydroSpark+?

Cylinder inclusion, exchange arrangements, current pricing and availability can change. Confirm the exact supply with Velta Singapore before placing your order.

Is CO₂ replacement tied to the water filter?

No. The CO₂ cylinder and the four-stage RO cartridge are separate consumables. Replace the cylinder when its gas is exhausted; follow the appliance prompt and Velta guidance for the filter.

When is the first cylinder installed?

During first setup, install the filter and complete the machine's automatic 30-minute water flush before installing the CO₂ cylinder. The screen guides the water-supply selection and cleaning sequence.

Should the cylinder stay installed during cleaning?

No. The HydroSpark+ manual instructs users to remove the gas cylinder before running the appliance cleaning function.
